art book cologne, founded by Bernd Detsch in 1997, is a wholesale company and specializes in buying and selling high quality publications in art, art theory, architecture, design, photography, illustrated cultural history and all related subjects internationally. Our team includes specialists in art, culture, music, book trade and media but in spite of our diversity we have one common ground: the enthusiasm for unique art books.
We purchase remaining stocks from museums, publishers and art institutions. We sell these remainders to bookstores, museum shops, and art dealers all over the world.

In recent years, light art has become a central theme as well as an independent complex in the oeuvre of Stuttgart-based artist rosalie. Her large-scale kinetic light sculptures have aroused a great deal of interest both in Germany and abroad.
Through her exploration of materials, technologies, and digital media rosalie creates “new universes of light.” In 2013 the artist designed three large-scale, kinetic, interactive light and space sculptures for the Museum der bildenden Künste in Leipzig, introducing trendsetting perspectives to the international light art scene. This publication documents the highly respected Leipzig works as well as a selection of light art that rosalie created between 2007 and 2011 in cooperation with the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe.
