art book cologne, founded by Bernd Detsch in 1997, is a wholesale company and specializes in buying and selling high quality publications in art, art theory, architecture, design, photography, illustrated cultural history and all related subjects internationally. Our team includes specialists in art, culture, music, book trade and media but in spite of our diversity we have one common ground: the enthusiasm for unique art books.
We purchase remaining stocks from museums, publishers and art institutions. We sell these remainders to bookstores, museum shops, and art dealers all over the world.

Heinz Mack not only made art history as one of the founding members of the Düsseldorf-based ZERO group in 1957, he is still active today as a painter and sculptor.
The catalogue, which is published on the occasion of his solo exhibition at the Waldfrieden Sculpture Park in Wuppertal, focuses specifically on his sculptural work. In numerous installation shots in the interior and exterior of the impressive park, Mack’s sculptures enter into exciting connections with surrounding architecture and nature.
Light is Mack’s central theme. The richness of form and the diversity of materials in his oeuvre are explored in texts about Mack’s series of stone works, stelae made of wood and metal, metal reliefs, and screens. An important tribute to the great German artist on his 90th birthday.
