About us
art book cologne, founded by Bernd Detsch in 1997, is a wholesale company and specializes in buying and selling high quality publications in art, art theory, architecture, design, photography, illustrated cultural history and all related subjects internationally. Our team includes specialists in art, culture, music, book trade and media but in spite of our diversity we have one common ground: the enthusiasm for unique art books.
We purchase remaining stocks from museums, publishers and art institutions. We sell these remainders to bookstores, museum shops, and art dealers all over the world.

Since 1996, the peer-reviewed journal Études photographiques, published by the Société française de photographie, has been the French-language publication of record addressing the history of photography and visual culture. In May 2009, Études photographiques began publishing bilingual print editions, extending its content to a broader public – a reflection of its growing success.
Éditée par la Société française de photographie depuis 1996, Études photographiques est la revue francophone de référence en matière d'études visuelles. Depuis son 23e numéro paru en mai 2009, Études photographiques est devenue bilingue, s’ouvrant ainsi à un public plus large et témoignant de l’intérêt et du succès de ses publications.
